BuddyPress requires WordPress MU, it will not work on a single install of WordPress (yet).

1. Upload everything into the "/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/" directory of your installation.

2. Activate BuddyPress in the "Plugins" admin panel using the "Activate Site Wide" or "Activate" link (both work).

1. Move the "/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/" directory to "/wp-content/bp-themes/"
|
|
|
|
The default home theme is not required, you can use a standard WordPress theme for your root blog if you wish.

2. To install the default home theme move "/wp-content/bp-themes/bphome/ to /wp-content/themes/bphome/"
|
|
|
|

--- Upgrading from an earlier version: ---

1. Backup!
|
|
2. Overwrite the /plugins/buddypress/ directory with the latest version.

3. If you are using the default themes, overwrite them using the new versions in the /plugins/buddypress/

directory. If you are using your own custom themes, they will continue to work with no changes needed.
